A Space is a pot of money within your app, kept separate from your balance. It’s great for getting expenses neatly sorted and under your control.

Manage money easily
Add or withdraw money in Spaces with a few taps. Or, use Split Payment to separate money across different Regular Spaces and accounts in one go.
Make every penny count
Round Up whatever you spend to the nearest pound and send the spare change to your chosen Space.
Budget with virtual cards
Set up virtual debit cards for up to five Spaces and only spend the money that’s in the Space it’s linked to. Available for personal account Spaces only.
Make it your own
Personalise, view and organise your Regular Spaces all in one place and order them however you like.
How it works
If you don’t have a Space yet:
Step 1
Tap ‘Spaces’ in the Starling app.
Step 2
Make sure you’re on the ‘Spending’ tab.
Step 3
Select ‘Add a Space’, give your Space a name, or choose from our pre-set options.
Step 4
If you’re keen to set aside a specific amount, set a savings target.
Step 5
Add or withdraw money whenever you choose.
If you already have one or more Spaces:
Step 1
Tap ‘Spaces’ in the Starling app.
Step 2
Select ‘Add a Space’, give your Space a name, or choose from our pre-set options.
Step 3
Set a savings target if you’d like, and add or withdraw money whenever you choose.
