Who is eligible to Refer a Friend?

If you’re included in our referral scheme, you’ll see this option to share a code in the Refer a Friend section of your app. You can only refer anyone who is: aged 18 years or over, not already a Starling customer (or who used to be a Starling customer), and eligible to open a personal current account with Starling.

How do I refer a friend?

To refer a friend, you need to find your unique referral code in the app, and send it to the person you want to refer. You can only refer new customers to Starling – they can’t be a previous or existing Starling customer. You can use your code to refer up to 10 people. After 10 referrals, your code will no longer be valid. To find and share your referral code: Go to your account menu in the top right-corner of the app. Select Refer a Friend. From here you can copy your referral code, or send it directly to someone by tapping Share referral code. You can share the code by email, text message, or messaging apps like WhatsApp.

Are there any restrictions or limits for referring a friend?

You can refer up to 10 people to us. After 10 successful referrals, you won’t be able to use your code again.  For a referral to be successful, the person you refer must successfully open a personal account. And they must complete the steps set out in the referral message for you both to be rewarded.

Question 4

When will I get my reward for referring a friend?

Accepted Answer

The reward will be added to a Space called ‘Friend Fund’ in your account. We’ll create the Space for you, and the money will be added within 30 days of the referee completing the steps set out in the referral message. If the money hasn’t been added to a Space in your account after 30 days, message us in the Help section of the app and we’ll look into this for you.
