As Group General Counsel at Starling, Monica leads the organisation’s legal, data privacy and regulatory affairs functions, supporting strategic growth and ensuring robust governance across the Group.
A dual-qualified UK and US lawyer, Monica has a strong track record of leadership in complex, highly regulated environments, having held General Counsel roles at Blackstone-owned Lombard International Group, Aviva plc and GE Capital. She began her legal career at the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York and London.
Monica holds degrees from Georgetown University Law Center and The George Washington University. She also serves on the board of The Royal British Legion and is an independent member of the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Finance & Investment Committee.
