Applications are now closed and participants are being confirmed.

An open API, you say?

That’s right, we’re opening up our API and we’re planning a weekend-long Hackathon event hosted by Campus London, for you to come and flex your developer muscles.

We're the first UK licensed bank to launch a public API that's ready for PSD2

We’ve built a public API that will enable third-parties - such as your good selves - to access customer data (with their permission, of course) and build on top of the Starling Platform to create products and services that our customers will love.

Whether you want to create a chatbot or help make sense of spending analysis, our API is open to ideas, so grab your laptop and get involved.

What’s in it for me?

Not only will you be part of the very first UK banking hack, you’ll do it at the Campus alongside other talented and passionate people. Also, we’re launching our Developer Platform next month and Hackathon participants will be given exclusive access to the portal to start using our API.

And the best thing about the Hackathon? You’ll have the chance to present your team’s idea to our specially selected Pitch Panel, led by Starling’s very own CEO - Anne Boden. The panel will also include some significant names from the tech and investor world which will be announced soon, so watch this space...
