At Starling, we’re on a mission to help customers live healthier financial lives – but we know that there’s more to that goal than just a great current account. From pension management and mortgages to insurance, savings and investments, there’s a whole spectrum of financial services that we know a lot of our customers rely on – which is why we’re especially excited to announce that we’ve just launched our first set of financial partners in the Starling Marketplace!
Pensions provider PensionBee are kicking things off; the first of at least 25 other partners to be added to Starling’s Marketplace over the coming year. Starling and PensionBee share a mutual vision – that financial information should be real-time and easy to understand – and so it will now be possible for Starling customers to view their pension balance easily alongside their current account balance.
What is the Marketplace? And what’s it for?
We’ve built the Starling Marketplace for two reasons:
1) We want to make it easy for customers to discover and access great products and services from across the financial market, with plenty of choice.
2) We also want to make it as simple as possible for our customers to manage every element of their financial situation from within one app. Clarity is power, and the Marketplace is how we’re giving our customers a clear bird’s-eye-view of their financial landscape, with a couple of taps.
And PensionBee is just the beginning. Over the course of the next few months, we’ll be adding a variety of different partners to the Marketplace, as well as developing lots of great new features and upgrading and evolving the design! Look out for Habito with mortgages, Wealthsimple for investments, and Kasko in partnership with AXA travel insurance, all coming soon.
We’ll be working closely with our providers to make it easy for Starling users to quickly and efficiently set up accounts with them – for example, by giving customers the option to seamlessly pre-populate personal information from Starling, for example, their names, dates of birth and email addresses. Plus we’ll also be working to expand the provider data that’s shown within the Starling app, and allowing customers to manage their partners more easily (for example, you’ll soon be able to transfer funds from within the Starling Marketplace to a connected provider).
We’re excited to be beginning our journey with Marketplace, and as always, we’d love your thoughts! If you’ve got a burning question, feedback on how we could improve it or ideas for a provider you’d love to see, let us know in the comments below.
